Mixed Band Philanthropist
" The Impossible Humane " CD

  Mixed Band Philanthropist was a trio including the Rupenus brothers (aka The New Blockaders). This record was first released in 1986 by Selektion and and has been digitally re-released by the japanese Siren Records label, owing to the rarity of this record (only 300 units).
It is in fact a rich and amazing record which could be seen as a decisive milestone in the cut-up field. It is conceptually a compilation of the who's who of the experimental field at that time because the source material on this record was given by Andrew Chalk, Nihilist Assault Group, Noise Perverts, Nurse With Wound, Organum, Etant Donnes, Mieses Gegonge, H.N.A.S. P 16 D4, Controlled Bleeding, Merzbow etc, etc... The sound is an relentless assembly of cut-up sounds, mainly based on white noise/dissonant sounds but you can still perceive on it some destructured Tom Jones hit amongst other poppy references.
An energic tape-collage work with a rich and inspired composition. My only reproach would be as for every pleasant listening experience that this record is too short !
